Prayer Chaplains

Our Prayer Chaplains are here to pray with you one-on-one after each Sunday Service (9:45 & 11:30 a.m.) If you have a vision, dream, joy or concern, let a Prayer Chaplain support you in prayer.

Submit your written prayer requests into our Prayer Box, located outside the bookstore, or you may send an email prayer request to Rev. Laura Collins at unityrevlaura@gmail.com

Prayer requests are held in confidence by our Prayer Chaplains, Ministry Team, and sent to Silent Unity for continued prayer.

Prayer at Unity

There is power in affirmative prayer, which we believe increases our awareness of God.

-The Fourth Unity Principle

Prayer has always been an important part of Unity teachings, for Unity grew out of prayer. Unity was founded in 1889 by Charles and Myrtle Filmore after Mrs. Fillmore's remarkable healing using prayer and affirmations.

Unity uses “affirmative prayer.”  Affirmative prayer is the same method of prayer Jesus taught when he said, “So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24).

Unity of The Blue Ridge has an active prayer ministry...

Choose one of these ways to contact us with your prayer request.

We will immediately activate our Prayer Ministry network in your behalf.  We will send your prayer request to the members of our Prayer Team and to Silent Unity.  There is no charge, and each request is treated with confidentiality and reverence.

You are also invited to pray with a Unity Prayer Chaplain after each Sunday service or use our Prayer/Meditation Labyrinth.

We see the Light of God surrounding and blessing each of our beloveds.
Thank you, God!

CommUnity Labyrinth

The CommUnity Labyrinth is open to anyone in the community andhandicap accessible.

Recently a team of dedicated members have cleaned, repaired and added to the surroundings. Plants have been added, birdhouses and a birdbath as well.

Originally dedicated in September 2009, our 7-path Labyrinth is 50' diameter, with a hard pack white gravel surface between rows of bricks, for easy access for people walking or in a wheelchair.  The 7-Path Classic Labyrinth is the oldest labyrinth design known in the world (since about 3,500 BC).
