A Course of Love with Rev. Cat Oaks - Mondays, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Join Rev. Cat Oaks as she facilitates an ongoing group of A Course of Love.
A Course of Love is a practical yet profound continuation of A Course In Miracles. The main difference is where ACIM is more focused on changing the mind about the mind, ACOL is about allowing the shift from mind to heart center. A merging of mind and heart to wholeness of our True Selves.
Given on a Love Offering basis.
A Course of Love is a living course that empowers us to recognize, through our felt experience of it, the truth of who we are as human and divine beings—a truth much more magnificent than we could previously imagine. ACOL —
- Reveals a way of direct knowing of truth. It takes us beyond learning as Jesus nurtures our inner unity by inviting “wholeheartedness,” the union of mind and heart.
- Brings to light the essential oneness of all, experienced through holy relationship with everything.
- Fosters radical forgiveness, and goes beyond forgiveness to radical acceptance.
- Readies us to be “the second coming of Christ” and to create “a new world.”
- Was received by Mari Perron over three years (1998-2001) in the same manner as A Course in Miracles was received.
- Renews the revelation begun in A Course in Miracles. The relationship between the two courses is described this way: “A Course in Miracles attempted to dislodge the ego-mind that has provided you with an identity that you but think you are. A Course of Love then followed in order to reveal to you who you truly are.” (T2:4.3)
- Stands on its own without need for readers to be familiar with A Course in Miracles.
- Gently guides the reader from the experience of separation to the experience of union, which is also to experience the power of God and the force of love.

The Bear Tracks Flute Circle, facilitated by Rick McDaniel will meet on the 2nd Friday of each Month at Unity of The Blue Ridge.
The group is open to all with an interest in music, whether as a player or listener. The emphasis is on flutes, but other instruments are welcome, to play with flutes, or to make music individually.
The Native American flute is the primary emphasis, but we welcome all flute forms, to include silver flute and world flutes. Other instruments which can jam with players, assuming we get some flute players that are not entirely beginners, would be drums, dulcimers, and guitar.

The membership is free, but members have to create a password, and log in, with a request to join. Once on the group, members get automatic notices of meetings, and other information, and there is a discussion forum to ask questions and get answers, and other help, on flute, music, and native related topics.
Women's Peer Support Group - Evening - 4th Wednesday of each month, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Julie Considine facilitates a monthly Women's Support Group every 4th Wednesday, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., beginning July 26th.
Today most women can expect to live longer, healthier and active lives. However, along with new opportunities, modern life has created new challenges for women of all ages.
Older and younger women now find themselves juggling multiple rules and transitions. Many must learn to adjust to physical changes, loss of loved ones and new living arrangements. Some women struggle with serious health conditions that limit their mobility. Others must abandon work or social activities to care for aging parents or an ailing spouse. We are always experiencing change!
Julie Considine has sponsored and facilitated women’s support groups for the past 35 years.
One of her primary goals for this group is to have FUN, PLAY, RELAX and support other women as we solve common problems, share our joys and sorrows, access new resources, develop new coping skills to manage changes and losses and feel more in control of our lives.
Julie has been a mental health therapist specializing in women’s issues, addiction, family and couples issues for over 35 years and is well known for her lectures on communication, grief/loss, addiction, and teaching the necessary skills to develop close, interpersonal relationships.
Peer Support is an essential part of staying healthy emotionally, physically and psychologically.
By finding and joining a support group that meets your needs, you can expand your circle of support and have a safe place where you can talk with others about your HOPES, your DREAMS, your TRIALS—essentially ALL of your life.
Julie stresses that one thing has always been constant in all of her support groups— a strong commitment to friendship and mutual, respectful support. The group weathered the storms of change and loss and strengthened its commitment to each other as a result.
The friendships we have formed over the years have provided an on-going circle of support that continues to be there whenever it is needed: the illness of an adult child, a parent’s dying, a career change, the death of a spouse, divorce, family discord, hurt feelings; when living seems like a journey that is too difficult to maneuver.
Together, we celebrate the joys of life – new marriages and the marriages of our children, new grandchildren, our own achievements and those of the people we love, the beauty of the natural world, and the richness of our everyday experiences!
We would love to have you join us as we start this new rich journey!
For more information, please contact Julie at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Cost $20 - however no one turned away!
